Great food and friendly service
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Annex rooms are clean and tidy but could use brighter lighting in the bathroom and blinds in the room rather than curtains for privacy . Otherwise a really good place to stay. Alice at the Palace restaurant is real treat. Evening meal was very high quality food very well presented, superb.
Highly recommend The York Palace Hotel. We stayed in the Terrace room. Well appointed room that has a high standard of fittings and cleanliness. The Bar and Bistro "Alice at the Palace" is a friendly and welcoming place for a very good meal. Our hostess Nola and waitress Meg made our meals and evening that extra special. Thank you for such a lovely evening
We stopped for lunch at this place during a long drive through the the wheat belt. We where pleasantly surprised by the quality and size of the meals.The hotel has a pleasant ambience and was designed old fashioned with quirky modern decorations.
Alice at the Palace is definitely the pinnacle of dining in York. A smaller menu where everything is done to perfection and presented well. Friendly service and modern decor in a historic setting. Very highly recommended.
