Absolutely incredible stay in York. Can not recommend this place enough- gorgeous building, surrounded by lush bush- the worlds cutest ponies, horse, chickens (rescued from battery life) lulu the babydoll sheep and Winnie the worlds tiniest bodyguard dog. Eco tourism at its finest - nothing on the farm goes to waste such a good model for how guest houses should be run. Amazing hosts, divine includes breakfast- with the worlds greatest creamed honey! I cant wait to revist and watch this place grow to even greater heights.

Hope Farm Guest House is nice comfortable get away place to stay, nice open fire cosy rooms and the owners are very friendly caterer for all your accommodating needs I highly recommend a stay and visit there accommodation page #kidfriendly #LocalGuides

Brilliant atmosphere great room Jo and Mike are brillant hosts York is cosy town

First time I took my wife to Hope Farm Guest House in York. We are both long time friends with the owners and we were both very impressed with how wonderfully kept their property is and on how they run the place with so much passion and care for us and all of the other guests who had stayed there. The property is a great combination of old country and modern furnishings with a European feel. The breakfast was amazing and plentiful whether you want just a cooked breakfast or a continental breakfast or like us having both along with fresh percolated plunger coffee or a wide selection of teas and orange juice which ticks every box. The outside of the house is also great to explore with having Pony's in the paddock, vineyards, Veggie Gardens, fruit trees, Chickens etc and Mike and Jo are terrific hosts who really make you feel at home. It is also a very quiet peaceful place and quite romantic especially looking at the stars at night with beautiful clear sky's And we were there to celebrate our honeymoon and Mike and Jo put a bottle of champagne and glasses in our room for us to celebrate its all the little touches that really make it a wonderful experience. Lastly there is a couple of great local cafe's and restaurants nearby too.

What a way to bring in the new year. York's history gets more interesting the more we learn about it. Staying at Hope Farm is ideal. Quaint beautifully decorated room with comfy bed, serene rolling hills, a dip in the pool and a party in town with friendly people. A hearty cooked breakfast and we were ready to start the new year. We'll be back for another recharge!
