Old park with a rustic feel that's looked after, reasonable rates and close to town.
This has recently been taken over by new owners, who are renovating and upgrading the place. There's plenty of spaces for tents and RVs, powered and unpowered, but they could do with a bit more shade for the tent pitches.The shower and toilet facilities are dated and in need of repair but they are clean and there's plenty of hot water. There's a small kitchen and laundry, again needs a bit of reno but it's all clean. Right now it's a bit run down (but it's clean and tidy) and once it's completed, it'll be a really good spot to stay. At the end of the day it's a nice cheap spot to stop and has clean flush toilets and hot showers.
To be fair the main office burnt down the night before we stayed. New owners were renovating. The park certainly needs a lot of work. IMO the current kitchen and shower/toilet facilities could have been MUCH cleaner even though it's old. Hospitality was ok. Not sure residential park chooks is a smart move when dogs are allowed.
The new owners are very helpful & make you feel very welcome. They are doing a great job at getting the park up & running again. Basic facilities at the moment which should improve as time goes on. Plenty of shaded sites. 2 adults powered site $20 night
Great hosts and staff great grounds. The wholevplaceis getting renovated but be patient the results will astound you
